Tallulah is a Chinese Crested Powder Puff / Poodle mix and has one of the cutest personalities you have ever seen.  The poodle part of the mix was a chocolate brown color so she is kind of a coffee with cream color.  She is 7 years old and weighs 16 pounds and this girl has some long legs on her.  Her previous owners had mounting health issues and felt they could no longer care for her the way she should be cared for.  Tallulah is in excellent health and had a routine dental done in May.  She is a playful spirit and she loves her people!  She is very good with other dogs and children and is a kind and gentle soul.  She loves to curl up in your lap and lay her head on your chest and just enjoy your company.  She is crate trained but doesn’t love being in there – she much prefers being with you.  She is completely housetrained and has such good manners that there really isn’t a need to crate her unless you are leaving her alone – she does have a fondness for toilet tissue…….other than that, no issues.

Tallulah tries so hard to talk to you – when she needs to go outside – if you don’t notice right away she will stand in front of you and do a little happy dance with her two front paws – and if you still don’t notice – she will look right at you and bark once – as if to say – Hello – I am trying to tell you something important.  I just can’t stress enough how delightful this girl is and how much fun you will have with her in your home.  She has been a delight to foster – and she is probably the easiest dog we have ever brought into our home.  She just came in, curled up, and made herself at home.  No stress, no worries, no problem!  Oh, and because she is part poodle I guess, she has not had the skin issues that Chinese Crested are known for.  You don’t have to put lotion on her – but you do still need to protect her bare skin from the sun and she will need to be kept warm in the winter.  Other than that, she is just like any other dog!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Adoption Process...

Applications are screened and references checked for both veterinarian and renters. Phone interview is conducted and if a potential match we will arrange a playdate. To move forward with a potential placement we require a home visit and introduce existing pets to the new pet. If successful a 72-hour home trial is mandatory. To give the applicant possession of the pet the applicant must fill out the Adoption Contract and pay the adoption fee. The contract and adoption fee is held for the 72-hour trial period. If placement is desired at the end of the trial period the organization signs and executes the contract. A copy of the contract along with medical records will then be forwarded to the adopter. 1 week, 1 month, 3 month, and 6 month follow-ups are conducted.
