Roxy and Bear came to us from the animal control facility in Suffolk, VA. They were surrendered to the shelter after being picked up running stray several times. They were kept as backyard dogs and were left behind with a roommate when their owner moved out and left them behind. The roommate did not want to be responsible for their care or their escapes.
Roxy and Bear are a pair that love each other, but don't care for other dogs. They would be happiest in a home where they are the only pets. They have never had discipline and have no manners, so they will need a home with Akita experience and the patience to teach them.
