Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Roxy and Bear are young (born approx 9.1.15) siblings (we think). They are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, on flea/heartworm prevention, microchipped, house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. They are lightly heartworm positive and are undergoing the slow-kill method of treatment.
Roxy and Bear came to us from the animal control facility in Suffolk, VA. They were surrendered to the shelter after being picked up running stray several times. They were kept as backyard dogs and were left behind with a roommate when their owner moved out and left them behind. The roommate did not want to be responsible for their care or their escapes.
Roxy and Bear are a pair that love each other, but could also go to separate homes with other large dogs to play with. They have never had discipline and have no manners, so they will need a home with Akita experience and the patience to teach them.
