Hi my name is Zach.  I am a super sweet 8 year old dachshund who weighs 11 lbs.  I am your typical dachshund.  As you can see from my pictures, I like to find a spot to snuggle.  My foster dad is great as he has a futon and it is the perfect place to snuggle in.  When he sits down I find a way to snuggle around him.  I love to sit beside him and let him pet me.  I even happy just sitting there.  We have a nice fenced in yard and my nose likes that.  There are all kinds of smells out there and I am in heaven as my nose works overtime.  I am a social boy too.  I get along great with other dogs.  You can see my foster brother and sister in one of the pictures.  We all get along just fine.  My foster dad made me stay in a crate at first (so I am crate trained) but I do not need it now.  I am housebroken and I do not tear anything up when left loose.  I just hang out with Teddy and Princess.  I would love a forever home with another dog and a fenced in yard.  That would be ideal.  I am also great with people so as long as there are not small children in your home we are set.  I hope after reading this you are ready to add me to your family.  I have been neutered and am current on all my shots and microchipped.  For more information on Zach please contact Vivienne at or 615/943-7311.  ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.

About Critter Cavalry Rescue New England - VT

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?

Our Adoption Process...

Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.
