Doran is a very gentle dog who is eager to please, calm, and very adaptable to new situations and people. He likes attention and loves to cuddle up next to his human -he is a very casual guy and is happy to just sit next to you and hang out. While Doran doesn't like to be left alone, he doesn’t become anxious or fussy when left by himself. His preference is definitely to be around people and to receive attention. Doran is playful and loves to go on walks where he can meet and play with other dogs; he’s proven himself to be very friendly with other animals. For example, he’s very curious about cats but doesn’t chase them or have a strong prey drive. Doran also likes to play with children and would do well with slightly older kids.

Doran likes pretty much everyone and everyone will like him right back. Adopt here to bring this sweet guy into your!adoption-application/c1ywyPlease apply to adopt me:!adoption-application/c1ywy

About Capitol Canines Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Each year, six to eight million dogs will end up at an animal shelter in the United States. Of those, approximately four million animals are euthanized.

Adopting a Capitol Canine is just one way to help combat this problem. Just by opening your home to one of our dogs, you are saving a life. In the process, you are gaining a companion who will reward you with love and gratitude.

Capitol Canines Animal Rescue saves dogs of various breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. Please fill out an adoption application and our adoption team will ensure that you are matched with the perfect pup!

Our Adoption Process...

Application -- questionnaire, reference checks, vet reference check, thorough vetting of application
Adoption Contract is required. Additionally, a foster contract is required before a volunteer may foster an animal.
Our adoption fee is $350, which is commensurate with costs in the DC area. Our dogs all receive: vet exam, s/n, microchip, DHPP, bordatella, rabies vaccs, fecal exam, hw test, deworming, additional services, as needed. The adoption fee covers these costs as well as any local boarding when fosters are full and the costs of transport.
