Orville's Story...

Name: Orville
Breed: DSH
Age: Senior
Gender: Male

Orville is a senior boy who came into a local impound as a stray. He managed to sneak his way into a dog rescue by being the most easy going, go with the flow cat we've met. In the chaos of the shelter, he wanted nothing but to be friends with the other cats and even the dogs staying there. In foster care he quickly fell into the routine and befriended his canine and feline foster siblings. Laid back and loving, Orville is the type of cat who only needs a hand to pet him and a warm sun spot to find happiness, who will excel in almost any home, and still has lots of love to give any family who can see past the label "senior".

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Orville, a Minneapolis Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
