Ryder's Story...
Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines! Start your engines? This one doesn't ever stop! Meet Ryder. Ryder is a male 7 week old rust and orange tabby who hitched a ride in a car engine down Independence Boulevard on a rainy afternoon. Miraculously unharmed, this little guy is quite possibly the most affectionate kitten you will ever meet. He wants nothing more than to be with someone who will love him with the same ferocity. His favorite thing? Being held like a baby while you rub his chest and tummy. Ryder is up to date on his vaccines and deworming, and his adoption contract will cover the cost of his remaining vetting, including his neuter. Ryder must be an indoor cat. Please fill out your adoption application at www.hs-uc.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ryder, a Monroe Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Monroe, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Monroe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Monroe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Monroe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Monroe paves the way for another one to be saved.
