Ricky's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Ricky's Story...
Ricky is a goofy young boy estimated around 6 months of age. Since Ricky was a stray we unfortunately have no information on his past however we can make a few speculations. Ricky had/has some symptoms of Rickets which is caused by a deficiency in vitamins and nutrients. Luckily Ricky is young enough that after getting on some supplements, good food, and plenty of exercise he is improving quickly from the strange looking pup that arrived at the shelter.

Ricky has a golden personality that is sure to make you laugh. He loves to "talk" to people and is a very loving boy overall. He might not be the most food motivated or the brightest light but he makes up for it in providing laughter. Ricky hasn't met a person or dog he doesn't love and has a very happy go lucky attitude. He will need a home able to dedicate time to socialization and training to ensure he keeps this friendly attitude as he grows up.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ricky, a Louisville German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Louisville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Louisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Louisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Louisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Louisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
