Little Bear's Story...
THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING FOR AN OWNER WHO NEEDS TO FIND A HOME FOR A FERRET. THE FERRET ASSOCIATION WILL PRESCREEN ADOPTERS AND THE OWNER WILL MAKE THE FINAL ADOPTION DECISION. A REHOMING FEE WILL APPLY. LITTLE BEAR IS LOCATED IN THE NEW HAVEN/BRIDGEPORT AREA.

Little Bear is a sweet sable boy. He had a buddy who passed away in May. Since then, his owner is unable to let him out enough and wants to find him a home where he will have lots of attention and time to play out of the cage. Little Bear is afraid of loud noises, but likes to walk on a leash. He's used to cats & dogs and doesn't mind getting his nails clipped.

We do not recommend ferrets to families with children under 6. Prior to adoption, this ferret will receive a vet exam and canine distemper vaccination.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Little Bear, a Hartford Ferret was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ferret for sale in Hartford, or seeking a Ferret from a breeder in Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ferret breeders who help with Ferret rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
