Bernie's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Bernie's Story...
Bernie is a wonderfully friendly, funny beagle who deserves all the attention you can give. He's completely healthy and house-trained as well. He would do great as a child's pet. He's pretty quiet for a hound and definitely laid-back like one.

Bernie is one of many beagles here in the south that end up in county animal shelters where their lives are at risk due to lack of space. He was taken in by a rescue that needs to downsize due to health and financial reasons. He urgently needs a bail out and a home.

Bernie would adjust well in a new home and make a great pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bernie, a Kittery Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Kittery, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Kittery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kittery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kittery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kittery paves the way for another one to be saved.
