Bentley's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Bentley's Story...
Bentley is a very sweet boy and does very well with the other animals (dogs and cats). He especially loves his foster beagle brother.

Bentley craves attention, but is not too clingy. He loves to get pets and hugs, but will also retreat to his bed when ignored.

He gets most excited about meal times, but otherwise is content to curl up in his bed and nap. True to his breed, he is a food hound and eagerly scarfs down any edible morsel he can get his paws on.

Bentley is recovering from his heartworm treatment and is restricted to light activity through mid-November. It's been really easy to keep him calm, so his adopter would have no problem picking up his recovery routine. After that, he'll be in great health to get on with his second chance in life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bentley, a Kittery Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Kittery, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Kittery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kittery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kittery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kittery paves the way for another one to be saved.
