Riley's Story...
DOB: 11.12.15

Riley was found in South Union, Houston, Tx. He had been left tied up to a pole in the back of a motel. No water, no food and no shade. He was terrified and hungry. Once we were able to gain his trust, he showed us how super sweet he really is.

Riley is a sweet boy. He is a bit shy at first but comes around fast. Loves to give kisses and go on walks. He is a playful boy and does great with other dogs. Great on a leash, crate trained but still needs a little work on his potty training.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Houston Black Mouth Cur/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black Mouth Cur/Boxer for sale in Houston, or seeking a Black Mouth Cur/Boxer puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black Mouth Cur/Boxer breeders who help with Black Mouth Cur/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
