Max's Story...
Hey!! How are you?? My name's Max, and I'm a 1 1/2 year old husky! I was recently brought to the shelter as a stray, and am now looking for a fun new family to be a part of! I'm a really friendly boy, who would do well in a home with other dogs, we're not sure how I feel about kids and cats yet.

I'm already up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and also have a microchip. Now all I need is that special someone to come adopt me! Could that be YOU??? The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit me!!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Youngwood Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
