Lincoln's Story...
Lincoln
Lincoln was rescued from our Local shelter. One of our volunteers was there to inquire about another dog and as fate would have it, Lincoln got the winning ticket out that day.
He turned out to be a “Diamond in the Ruff” He happens to be great with other dogs, big and small, we suspect he may be okay with cats as well, but we have not tested him yet. Best surprise: he is completely potty trained. He also loves all his humans both adults and children alike. He is a quiet fellow, not a barker. He does alert if there is someone at the door, but that is the extent of it. He has great manners. Although he has been invited numerous times up on the couch to watch television with his Foster family, he kindly declines and prefers the floor on a nice comfy blanket. Lincoln is the “lucky penny” every family needs in their home. Greatest little dog!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lincoln, a La Verne Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso for sale in La Verne, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in La Verne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Verne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Verne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Verne paves the way for another one to be saved.
