Petey's Story...
Petey is an adorable puppy with a cheerful, sunny disposition. Although he is small now, we expect him to grow up to be around 55-60 pounds. Petey has lots of puppy energy and is very playful and fun. He participates in playgroups at the shelter and has a great time romping and wrestling with the other big dogs. Petey is so smart - attentive, responsive and eager to learn, he is picking up basic obedience at lightening speed. It will be a lucky family that adopts this sweet, clever pup!

Act quickly to adopt Petey. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petey, a Berkeley American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
