My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Because we are all volunteers, Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus only considers approved applicants to meet our orphans in our foster homes. Please read our eligibility requirements and apply on our website: www.ildoberescue.com/adopt.  After application is submitted, additional inquiries can email dobes@ildoberescue.com

Bonnie is an adorable 10-month-old, all-natural (full tail and natural ears) girl who was being given away on an online swaplist. Since she was not spayed, IDR+ made room for her to make sure she didn’t wind up in the wrong hands where she would have been used as a breeder dog. Bonnie was said to have lived with a small dog, cat, and kid. She ignored the cat during the cat test, and she seems friendly with other dogs around her. She is not living with kids now, but she is not jumpy and should be fine with respectful children 7 and up. She is your typical sweet Dobe, that loves nothing more than being with her people. While Bonnie is very sweet and friendly, she doesn't have a large vocab, so she'd appreciate learning more. Obedience training will be required to ensure her success.

The biographical information provided is correct to the best of our knowledge while the animal is in our care or includes what may have been provided by a previous owner. We strive to be honest and accurate, but animals can change their personalities and behavior when they settle into a new home. IDR+ makes no guarantees based on the information we observe and provide.
