Stegosaurus's Story...
Stegosaurus was a stray who found himself at Animal Care and Control. He was on the ACC adoption van at Adoptapalooza, but didn't find his home that day. Instead of going back to ACC, he was transferred to us and is now waiting for a home. He is extremely affectionate, very mellow and would be a great lap kitty. He is negative for FELV/FIV, is neutered, dewormed, vaccinated and microchipped. He gets along great with other cats. As of 9/18/2016, he is approximately 2 years old.

If you would like further information about Stegosaurus, please feel free to email us at or call us at 516-922-CATS (2287).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stegosaurus, a Oyster Bay Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oyster Bay, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oyster Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oyster Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oyster Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oyster Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
