This is Micah! His family is trying to re-home him as they prepare for a cross-country move. He has anxiety issues, and they feel that such a major move may be way too stressful for him. Is there anyone who can provide a calm home for this lovely boy? If so, please email us at allcatsrescue@gmail.com. Description below:

Micah is 7 years old and a big cuddle bug. He loves attention and playing. He is an indoor cat, but loves to go outside for a few minutes at a time when the weather is nice. He is pretty big, weighing in around 14 lbs, but he's not really overweight.

Micah struggles with undiagnosed hyperesthesia, which is a stress/anxiety disorder. He is usually fine, but changes in routine or environment stress him out. It's easy to tell when he is getting upset as he'll start twitching, licking his stomach or hind legs excessively, and attacking his tail. When you start to see the signs, getting a toy and playing with him helps. After he first moves, he'll need lots of attention until he becomes accustomed to his new home.

He would do best in a home without dogs or very young kids. He likes to play with other cats, but would be ok without any.
Micah, Domestic Short Hair has been shared from Shelter Exchange.

About Allcatsrescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are individuals who love cats and all animals but found the need to help the overwhelming and prolific overpopulation of unwanted cats and kittens. We strive to find and match forever homes with the cats we take in by fostering them and getting to know their personalities. We have them fully vetted to have their health evaluated, shots, dewoming and spay/neuter (if old enough) and any other problems that require attention.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption center at PetSmart is the place to meet many of ACR's cats, and the adoption process can be completed through the store. Otherwise, the majority of our cats and kittens are in foster homes, but will be available to meet at your convenience. If you see a cat you'd like to meet, please go to our website and fill out an adoption application, them email us at AllCatsRescue@gmail.com to set up a time to meet the kitty.
