Hi there!

My name is Bauer and I have had quite the adventure in my short life. I was spotted around the airport runways. I heard from someone that there are dogs that have jobs chasing the birds off the runway, so I thought I'd give it a try. It was a lot scarier than I thought it would be, with all those noisy jet planes moving around. Thankfully, the airport workers offered me a place to live instead, until they could find me a good, that's how I got where I am. My foster parents and I think that I'm an American Bulldog mix. I sure look like one. I am super friendly, love all people, and get along great with other dogs. I'm good with children, but my perpetually wagging tail can sometimes catch the small ones off guard. I am enrolled in an obedience class and I'm picking up all my skills very quickly. I'm house-trained, crate-trained, and try to be a gentleman as much as I can. My foster mom says that I'm very charming. Would you like to meet me? Please contact

Weight: 65 lbs

Dogs: good with all dogs that he has been around

About WAGS fund

Our Adoption Process...

We work hard to find the perfect home for all the dogs and cats in our care. Listed below is the sequence of events that we go through to assure that our pets and our applicants are the perfect match for each other:

1. Fill out and return our adoption application form.

2. After receiving your application, we will verify with your vet the care on your current or
previous animals.

3. We will contact you to discuss your current situation and which pet you are interested in

4. After discussion, we will arrange a time for you to meet your prospective new family
member. We may suggest you bring your other pets to this meeting.

5. If the initial meeting goes well and both parties agree to move forward with the
adoption, we will make an appt and bring the pet to your home to meet all family
members - human and furry

6. If, at the home visit, both parties agree that the home is good match for the adoptable
pet, we will move forward with the adoption. (Please note, some dogs may require several “visits” to the home in order to feel comfortable and transition smoothly into their new environment.)

7. We ask the new family to have a crate, food, toys, treats, etc. ready before the home visit.

8. At the home visit we will review the Home Visit Checklist and Adoption Checklist, review and sign the adoption contract, collect the adoption fee ($200) and take the Happy Tail photo.

9. That same volunteer will check in either by phone or email to make sure things are going well and to answer any questions you might have. Please respond in a timely manner (1-2 days)

10. 7-14 days after the adoption, we will collect the medical records for your adopted pet and send them to you. We will also update the pet’s microchip record with your information.
