Ellie is a playful girl who loves other dogs. She is very sweet and oh so cuddly. She is the one to crawl up on the couch and rest her head on your lap. She acts so giddy when really excited--almost puppy like! Being 63 lbs doesn't stop her from kissing and plopping herself on your lap.
When it comes other pets, she's met a kitten and slowly grew fond of it, but should still have a slow introduction with cats. She's being treated for heartworms, and is doing well. She's crate-trained; however she does so well outside a crate, she just needs a walk in the morning and a little while after she eats. She was a stray so she doesn't have potty training 100% yet.
She was scheduled to be euthanized, but San Antonio Pets Alive! saved her and now they are helping her find the forever, loving home that she has never known.
She is currently located at San Antonio Pets Alive!, and is in a foster home. By adopting her, you not only give her a new leash on life; you also save the life of the additional dog who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care.
If you are interested in adopting, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with Pet name and ID#. Please allow us up to 24 hours to respond as all fosters work with us on a volunteer basis.
