Update: Sweet, sweet TANSY is still looking for her forever family and we can't figure out why! She is pretty darn perfect!! Calm, sweet, passive with all folks and dogs, walks at a heel on leash, wonderful manners - this girl has it all! Some new intel on her this week:
1. We don't think she is "around 7" as her previous "owner" stated to the shelter. We think she is more in the 4-5 year old range and our vets agree, based on her eyes, teeth and general activity levels.
2. We think she would do fine in a townhouse or condo IF it is in a quiet area and has a fenced yard, even if it is a small fenced yard. You see, sweet Tansy does not like to do her "business" on leash and prefer the privacy that a yard give he. She is not approved for a busy city life, but is great in her crate and quiet, and navigates steps like a champ.
3. We think she would prefer to have a doggie friend, although it is not 100% necessary, or someone home a lot during the day. She so thrives on companionship - 2 legged or 4 legged.
4. Tansy either does not like kitties ( or maybe thinks they taste like chicken, who knows) so no cats for this girl - hey everyone has a vice right?
Tansy is a wonderful girl, 4-5 years old, weighs 65 lbs and is approved for kids 10 and up. She loves long walks and helping with yard work. Oh, and destuffing toys :-) She is fostered in Richmond, VA
Update:: Tansy continues to be a perfect lady and wonderful house guest. She is easy going and sweet. She walks in a heel on leash and greets people and other dogs passively. She loves to snuggle and loves toys and has really began to enjoy the cushy dog beds. She crates well. Just an all around wonderful girl!
Update:: SLACKER SATURDAY: Here we go, late again! It seems the RVA coordinator is super busy with something called a software conversion at work lately so us pups have to deal with her lateness LOL. So, as a reminder, my name is Tansy and my foster parents say I am wonderful! The report is that I am very calm but occasionally have bursts of energy and run like a little kid all around the back yard. This really makes FM laugh for some reason. I am not destructive but do enjoy shredding the toilet paper off the roller from time to time. (FPs finally learned and moved it to a shelf. they said I might be smarter than they are.) I am good in my crate. I got to walk off leash this morning at the river, FPs think I have had some practice at this as I walked right at their side and greeted others passively. Last night I got up and made some noise so FM took me out, I did my thing and right back to bed i went. I sleep through the night, really enjoy my outdoor time and like to help with the gardening. FPs say there is nothing not to love about me, nothing :-). From FM: she is sweet, calm, lovable, obedient, learns quickly, She has had no issues with house training. She was either trained before or trained herself. She is a gem. She will make the perfect companion. She will be an easy adopt. I sound pretty awesome, huh? Come meet me in Richmond VA!
