Facts about Reba

  • Breed: Jack Russell Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) Mix
  • Color: Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White)
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female

Reba was brought into the shelter as a stray along with her sister a little over a month ago. I'm happy to say that Reba's sister has since found a home but sadly this sweet girl is still awaiting hers. Reba is an older puppy weighing in at just 18 pounds. We don't believe she is going to get much bigger than this as she already has adult teeth coming in.

About Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

M.O.A.S. is an open admissions shelter located in rural Georgia. We work closely with animal control in an effort to provide food, water, shelter and veterinary care to the 1000's of homeless and abandoned animals dumped out in our area each year.

Every year over 250,000 shelter animals are euthanized in Georgia. This is sadly one of the highest euthanasia rates in the United States. Highway to Love Transport Program is a volunteer based program providing life saving services for homeless pets that would otherwise not make it into loving homes.

Adoptable K9's are selected because of their personality and adaptability. They have been other dog tested, kid tested and cat tested. They are given full medical exams and vetted for a minimum of 2 weeks to determine any additional underlying conditions. All animals receive the appropriate medical care to insure that they are healthy, spayed or neutered, vaccinated microchipped, heartworm tested along with one month of preventative.

Once the animal has completed this regimen, it is placed on a climate controlled transport vehicle and brought to

PetSmart Adoption Days at 475 Bank St, Waterbury, CT 06708 (203) 596-9997

These areas have been identified as having a high demand for shelter animals because they have been successful in enacting and enforcing laws that protect homeless pets. Upon arrival to the adoption event, the dog is ready for immediate adoption by a loving family.

This is their FREEDOM ride...

Our Adoption Process...

Our shelter greatly appreciates that you have decided to give one of our animals a second chance through our Highway To Love Program. We do have several questions to ask and you may feel as though you are getting the third degree but the questions are only to ensure that the animal you have chosen will be a great MATCH for you and your family.

We want to make sure all the adopted pets have found their FOREVER loving home so that’s “why all the questions”. We are asking because we care about you and your new pet. We want this adoption to be the match that lasts a lifetime. When you are answering all those personal questions, think of the animal that you fell for with those big eyes and furry tail and realize, it’s worth it.
