Lucas's Story...
Hi, my name is LUCAS and I am a one and a half year old ORANGE TABBY male with GORGEOUS markings on my soft, fuzzy coat. Recently I was rescued from at a high kill NYC shelter by Posh Pets and now I’m temporarily in a foster home where my foster mom has gotten to know me well enough to make the following claims about me. “Lucas is AMAZING! He is OUTGOING and FRIENDLY. Plus, he is LOVING and SWEET. He is so AFFECTIONATE. He loves to SNUGGLE with me and CUDDLE on the couch. He adores other CATS too and enjoys playing with them. Without a doubt, LUCAS IS TOTALLY MY FAVORITE CAT IN A REALLY LONG TIME!” Wow, if that doesn’t convince you that I’m a GREAT CAT, then come and meet me and see for yourself. I guarantee you’ll fall in love! I am neutered, UTD on shots, and FIV/FeLV negative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucas, a Long Beach Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
