Ol' Man (Neutered) - Update's Story...
"Ol' Man" is a darling 6-year old male kitty who was brought to the HSOV on August 12, 2016 after a Good Samaritan found him in the Belpre Ohio area. This handsome gentleman has a rather rugged-looking appearance and seems to have fallen on hard times, yet he has maintained a positive outlook on life and loves people :) "Ol' Man" has an extremely friendly outgoing personality and adores attention. He yearns to be close to someone. "Ol' Man" has a gray medium-haired coat, a long tail, and an adorable chubby-looking face with a gray button nose and large golden eyes. His left ear is 'crinkled' (which could be the result of ear mites), and he may have limited vision in his right eye. "Ol' Man" was given vaccinations and wormer on August 12, 2016. He was neutered on August 24, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine. "Ol' Man" weighed 10.7 lbs. on that date. These updated photos were taken on September 24, 2016.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ol' Man (Neutered) - Update, a Marietta Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
