Maggie Mae's Story...
"Maggie Mae" is a sweet 12-year old female Labrador Retriever mix who was surrendered by her owner on September 7, 2016 along with "Kayne" who shared her previous home. "Maggie Mae" has a black short smooth coat with a tiny patch of white on her chest, a long tail, and a beautiful face with short floppy ears and graying on her muzzle and around her eyes. We guarantee that you will fall in love with Maggie Mae the moment she looks up at your with her hopeful trusting eyes that beg for attention. "Maggie Mae" has a gentle, easygoing personality and loves everyone. As you can see in her photographs, she is very thin :( But she has actually gained about 8 lbs. since entering our shelter and being given extra food (and TLC) from our kind kennel techs. "Maggie Mae" has also gained strength and has a lively bounce in her step these days. This senior citizen would love to find a home where she would be loved, pampered, and spoiled (and have lots of comfy beds/blankets in which to snooze) <3

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie Mae, a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
