My name is Diamond!

Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) Mix Dog for adoption in Marietta, Georgia - Diamond

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Diamond's Info...

I am a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Diamond's Story...
We rescued Diamond from a full high-kill shelter on the GA coast. She's a peppy and happy little gal. She was born around January 2016 and weighs just under 30 lbs. She's friendly and will make a great pet for most any family.

Diamond is healthy but has a case of heartworms which we'll see her through. Heartworms aren't contagious, you and other animals will not contract heartworms from her. They are curable when caught early and show no outward symptoms except in advanced cases (coughing). Heartworms are caused by mosquitoes and are all too common here in the south but are completely preventable with an inexpensive monthly pill. Diamond is taking a monthly pill (which we will pay for) until a blood test (which we'll also pay for) shows she's rid of them. This could take 6 months to over a year. We've had many happy adopters who've rescued a heartworm-positive dog. Speak to your vet if you need more feedback.

Email Homelesspetsfoundation@gmail.com or call 770-971-0100 for more info. To increase your odds of having first dibs on an animal, fill out an adoption application, found at www.homelesspets.com/adoption-form.

Adoption fees include spaying/neutering, micro-chipping, vaccinations up to date at the time of adoption, one free check-up at Town & Country main vet clinic within 14 days of adoption and a free session with Tenasity dog trainers!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diamond, a Marietta Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
