ABOUT ME: Ciao! My name's Bella and I'm an 8 year-old female Redbone Coonhound. My life started out pretty rough, but I was rescued at age 1 and have lived with a loving family until recently when my owner surrendered me to TCPR for medical reasons. My foster family says I could be in the running for the world's most low maintenance, easy going dog. I never bark, am potty trained and can even be left home alone for hours without being kenneled (but I do just fine in a kennel if I need to). I LOVE being around other dogs, and do very well with kids from the few interactions I’ve had. I bet I’d like cats too.

I’m a bit overweight and don’t have as much energy as I used to, so I really like sleeping and lounging near humans. I love going for walks, as long as they aren’t too long or hot. I love being petted, making eye contact and taking long naps on any furniture you’ll let me near. I even know some tricks like sit, stay, lay down, and shake.
My ideal forever family would have another dog to keep me company, but I would be happy without one too. Since I love taking long naps, I would do well with a family where my owners are gone during the day. I would prefer to live somewhere where I can sleep with my humans, or on my own bed on the floor. I'm a sweet, lovable, low maintenance dog and I can't wait to find my future home!

About Twin Cities Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.

Our Adoption Process...

All adopters complete an adoption application. If approved, we arrange a meet and greet. Cats and small animals can be adopted and go home at the time of the meet and greet after the adoption agreement is complete and adoption fee collected (which is variable based on animal type, etc). For dogs, we complete home visits and then finalize the adoption.
