Serena's Story...
This is hard to believe but what really happened to Serena. Animal control got a call on a house that had 50 dogs in it and the owners were both in hospital dying. This is a lot for animal control to take and so they asked for rescues to help. We got told about 2 puppies that were very scared as they really had not had much human contact. We always love to take the under dog on and did not have room for both. The director of the shelter was there when we saw the puppies and she also likes the under dog. We said we had an idea we would take the one and she take the other and joked about it, but that is actually what happened.

Serena is very shy but if you give her time to know you she will come to you. She is such a goof ball and is so loving. She would do best in a home with another dog as this is what will help her to come around as she does love to play with the other dogs in her foster home. She is about 7 months old and 35lbs. We believe she could be a German Shepherd/Shiba Inu mix. She is fully vetted, meaning fixed, current on all shots, micro chipped and on monthly prevention. She will really need a fenced in yard.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Serena, a Great Falls German Shepherd Dog/Shiba Inu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Shiba Inu for sale in Great Falls, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Shiba Inu puppy from a breeder in Great Falls.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Great Falls already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Great Falls breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Shiba Inu breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Great Falls paves the way for another one to be saved.
