Thor's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Thor's Story...
Thor is a 3 year old blue male with natural ears. Update 11/27/16 - Thor is good with other dogs and cats, but we are saying no children at this time due to some food guarding issues in his foster home. He is very food driven and will try to eat the other dogs' food when he is finished his and he does not like to be told no if caught doing so. He is a fence guarder outside and will act mean at a fence to anyone on the other side to protect his home. He needs slow intros to people (men more so than women) but once you have his seal of approval he likes nothing more than belly rubs and back scratches and will nudge your hand to the appropriate area if you forget to continue to pet him. He knows most of the usual commands and has a gentle persona inside the home. Thor loves walks and being with his people.

MAGDRL adopts to eastern NY, Eastern PA, DE, NJ, WV, MD, DC and VA only. Please see our website for adoption policies and fencing rules.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thor, a York Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in York, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in York paves the way for another one to be saved.
