Gypsy's Story...
Sweet Gypsy is 40 lbs Carolina Dog mix about 5 years old. She is a very unique and loving dog. She is dominant around other dogs but this can be easily worked through with patience, consistency and training. She knew little in the way of manners but is learning quickly her name, how to come, to not jump and to sit. She has absolutely no bad behaviors towards humans. She is a complete honey. Since we have had her she has barely barked even when our dogs have. When we transported her home she laid calmly in the backseat. She does well with going potty outside but still needs redirection to not have accidents in the house. She has received a bath while here and she did great. We have found out with the metal crates that she does not like them but prefers the plastic ones and does quite well! We have a 12 year old child that she has done very well with and he has even been doing some of the training with her. Gypsy is being fostered in Fond du Lac, WI. Her adoption fee is $250 and included her spay, all age appropriate shots, microchip and current health certificate. If interested, please apply at www.hopingfurahome.com (DATCP 403260 DS).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gypsy, a Mauston Carolina Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Carolina Dog for sale in Mauston, or seeking a Carolina Dog dog from a breeder in Mauston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mauston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mauston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Carolina Dog breeders who help with Carolina Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mauston paves the way for another one to be saved.
