Lucy's Story...
Hi I’m Lucy and I’m the life of the party! I’m a one-year-old Australian Cattle Dog with TONS of personality and I love everything about life: I like being outside and running around, I like playing with other dogs of all sizes, I like playing with my toys when you’re busy, and I absolutely LOVE cuddling and getting belly rubs! I’m really smart, so I’m quickly learning how to tell my foster mom when I need to go outside for a potty break, but I’m already really good in my crate.

Australian Cattle Dogs are the perfect outdoor companion, so if you’re looking for someone to run, walk, camp, or hike with, I’m DEFINITELY your girl!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a San Antonio Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
