Wynter is a regal looking young lady who will grace your home with love and beauty. She is a Domestic Short Hair kitty, and she was born around around June of 2016. She was found as a stray, and the kind person who found her couldn't keep her, so PAWS was contacted. Now this lovely little girl is looking so very hard for a home and family of her very own. How nice it will be to hear her soft purring as she curls up in your lap, and watch her funny antics as she plays around the house.

If not, please keep us in your thoughts. We need monetary donations badly in order to keep this wonderful operation going, so, if you are able, please send whatever you can. Come Meet Our Pets...

Pets Are Worth Saving,Inc. (PAWS) is a not-for-profit, no-kill animal welfare organization. PAWS was founded as a means of dealing with the increase in the animal population--specifically dogs and cats--in the Union County(Illinois) area. PAWS was formed primarily to prevent the destruction of valuable, adoptable animals. PAWS is solely funded by donations and fund raisers. PAWS rescues and makes available for adoption homeless and unwanted animals.

Our Adoption Process...

Dogs: The adoption fee for PAWS' puppies and dogs is $200. Occasionally, the adoption fee will be higher and, if that is the case, it will be noted on the animal's profile. When you adopt your new dog or puppy, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on its shots, with the exception of its rabies shot, which must be given by a vet. If it is six months or older, it will have been tested for heartworms and placed on a heartworm preventative.

Cats: The adoption fee for all PAWS' kittens and cats is $75. When you adopt your new cat or kitten, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on its shots, with the exception of its rabies shot, which must be given by a vet. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ADOPT A CAT OR KITTEN, BE SURE TO BRING A CARRIER OR PET TAXI WITH YOU. WE CANNOT SEND A CAT/KITTEN HOME UNLESS IT IS IN A CARRIER/PET TAXI.

We certainly recommend that you continue your pet's routine vaccination regimen with your veterinarian.

SAME DAY ADOPTIONS ARE NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE, SO IF YOU ARE DRIVING FROM A DISTANCE, PLEASE MAKE ADVANCE ARRANGEMENTS.

IF YOU RENT, YOU MUST BRING A SIGNED RENTAL AGREEMENT FROM YOUR LANDLORD STATING THAT IT IS OKAY FOR YOU TO HAVE AN ANIMAL IN THE HOUSE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A RENTAL AGREEMENT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE THE COMPANION ANIMAL OF YOUR CHOICE HOME WITH YOU.

OUT OF STATE ADOPTERS ARE ASKED TO PAY THE ADOPTION FEE IN CASH.

PAWS IS NOT EQUIPPED TO TAKE DEBIT OR CREDIT CARDS.
