Hi everybody. My name is Kodiak. I think my family named me that because I reminded them of a Kodiak bear. It's funny because the volunteers here at Paws 4 You call me their big teddy bear, so I guess I really do look like a bear! I couldn't tell you because I've never seen myself. I heard you need this thing called a mirror to do that, which sounds totally mind-blowing. They don’t have mirrors at Paws 4 You, but they have them in human houses. Speaking of which... I'm looking for a new human house to live in. My family had a baby human, but didn’t have the time to train us to get along. I'm not going to lie, I was pretty disappointed. I thought family was forever and that I was part of it. I didn’t realize that humans get new families to replace old family members. Even so, I'm really hoping for a second chance at being part of a family, maybe a family that already has all of the members it wants so that I don’t have to get replaced later. A good thing about me is that I already know how to live in a house, how to live with a family, and I know some tricks! I know humans love that kind of stuff. I know 'sit,' 'down,' and 'stay.' I'm a quick learner, so I could learn whatever you wanted to teach me! But I really hope to learn that family IS forever and that dogs ARE family too.
