Coco is a 9-year-old Boxer-mix that was picked up running loose by animal control. Her family was found, but they didn’t want to get her back. She is now safe with us, waiting for a family who deserves this super sweet gal. Don’t let her age fool you – she is a very young-acting 9-year-old! She is completely housebroken, seems good with other dogs, and is great with kids, although the energy of very young kids might be too much for her (and vice versa). She is a ton of fun in the yard and loves to enthusiastically sit for a treat and give paw. She plops herself down and looks at us with a smile. Such a nice girl. Coco does not like to be in her crate, but she is fine to leave loose as she has very good house manners. She is a big talker, so she’s not a great candidate for an apartment or condo, but when you are home, you will really enjoy having her company. She is great around other dogs and has been attending our weekly meet and greet events at stores in the Chicago suburbs.
