Learn more about Coco's story here!

Coco is a small Cocker Spaniel who already has a special place in our hearts.

This sweet girl came to Camp Cocker in September from the Coachella shelter in the greater LA area. She was found as a stray with a big tumor on her back, which we successfully had removed. She is recovering well and is otherwise healthy!

We assume Coco is about 6 years old. Her muzzle may be graying but this little lady will offer some puppy love to you all day long. She LOVES to offer her paw and receive belly rubs, and once she is attached she will want to follow you around all day long.

Coco attaches herself easily to people, however, would prefer to be the only dog in the home because she is not a fan of sharing things that are hers. If she feels she has ownership over something (a person, water bowl, etc.) she will growl if another dog approaches it. She does well interacting with other dogs off of the leash-- her only issues are with guarding.

Guarding is something that can DEFINITELY be worked with! All she would need is a trainer and a family who can offer her a lot of patience. I promise you will receive all the love you can imagine from this little angel when you adopt her!

About Camp Cocker Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Camp Cocker Rescue is a California rescue group that specializes in rescuing Cocker Spaniels from high-kill shelters in southern California. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We place our dogs throughout California.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoptable dogs are in foster homes and boarding facilities in northern and southern California. We are always looking for more foster homes in the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas. Please consider fostering a rescue dog!

Our Adoption Process...

The first step in our application process is our online adoption application, which can be found at We follow up applications with a phone interview, veterinarian reference check, and home safety check.

Our adoption fees range from $350 to $500 depending on the age of the dog. Our younger dogs' fees are higher to help us be able to continue to rescue senior and medical needs dogs that cost us so much to save.
