CONGRATULATIONS ROSIE ON YOUR PENDING ADOPTION !!!

This beautiful little miss is Roseana!  Roseana has traveled a long way along with her brother, Lucas to our rescue, and they are so ready to find that wonderful home that we promised! Roseana is a typical puppy - full of love and energy and will need to learn -  well, everything!  She is smart, and sweet - and she is going to make some lucky family very happy!

Please do your research when considering adopting a puppy.  Successfully raising a puppy is not for the faint of heart - it is a considerable amount of work that requires lots of love and more patience than you ever thought you would ever need, and it takes time!  Puppies are cute, have razor sharp teeth and chew on everything; and just  like a human baby, they require a commitment that must last a lifetime!

*When applying to adopt one of our puppies, please also remember this:       Up to the age of 8 months puppies cannot be left alone for a standard work day.        Arrangements will have to be in place for 4-5 hour intervals until the pups are at least 8 months old. Having someone with them every 4-5 hours until they are older greatly facilitates the housebreaking process.

Update from her foster:

Rosie is a wonderful little girl.  She is very loving and wants to be with her humans whereever they are.  She’ll cuddle at times too.  Rosie is bright, energetic, curious, and smart.  She wants to please her humans and looks at them lovingly often.  She is a very alert little girl too.  She notices everything and wasn’t to investigate with youthful vigor.  She has a strong food drive, which is easily used to train her.  She is very nice and gentle when getting a treat as a reward, and relishes the treat as if it’s the best pastry or caviar ever had!

Rosie has met a few young children (4 or 5 years old when waling in the park with us.  She is very friendly with them and allows them to pet her quite nicely.  She is also happy to met other dogs in the park too.  She walks fairly nicely on the leash, but still needs to learn a bit more.  She enthusiastically goes with us every time the leashes are produced.
Rosie rides nicely in the car too.  She’s still a bit dubious of getting in, but once there, she settles in quite nicely.  She like to watch things going by at first, and then will lie down eventually for longer rides.
Rosie will make a wonderful companion for some lucky person.  She deserves a good training regimen, as she wants to learn and do.  She is great now -- and has the potential to be fantastic!
