My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Benji! Benji is a handsome 6 year old boy waiting for his forever home in a wonderful foster home in Alabama. He is a perfect weight of 15 pounds.

Beni loves everyone. He gets along well with children, adults, dogs and cats, and any other creature that he meets.

Benji is a content and happy boy. He is happy to be your couch companion but he is also very happy to go for a run with you or a leisurely walk. Benji is looking for someone who will love him forever!

Benji is such a good boy. He is crate trained and house trained. Like all dachshunds he will need to be confident in his environment to have good potty habits. All rescue dogs go thru a period of adjustment so understanding and patience is important. Beni asks to go outside to go potty.

Benji loves to sleep in the big bed in his foster home and he would like a forever home that will let him continue with his ‘big bed’ privileges. Benji just loves to cuddle under the covers and get lots of love!
