My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi Everyone,
My name is Joyous Jeffrey but you can call me Munchkin, Cuteness or Mr. Adorable.! I’m an incredibly appealing little bichon boy of five who tips the scales at only 10 pounds. I also cock my head when you talk to me so you might also want to call me Tipper. Oh silly me! Well, I guess you get the picture that I’m a darling little guy who comes in one adorable package.
Mom says that I’m a good-natured pup who loves to snuggle against your body when you pick me up. She says I win the blue ribbon for cuddling (Thanks Mom, I wasn’t even trying) But that’s not all I do. When it’s time for an adventure in the car, I am ready to go!. I keep very busy watching the world go by. I tell Mom I’m happy to be her companion and to go along for a ride!

My human brother, Adam, says besides liking to cuddle and ride in the car, I love to go for walks. I’m such a small guy that I’m not at the point where I can go for long distances yet, but I’m getting stronger every day and getting lots of practice. I also use the doggy door, am learning commands and sleep quietly in the Big People’s bed all night long. Adam wants you to know that I am also “cat friendly”. (Of course I am because the cat’s friendly to me!) Actually (and this makes quite a picture) after a busy day of cuddling, riding and walking, I like to lie down next to the kitty and take a nap. Now I ask you, how many pups do you know that do that? (Mom says that’s pretty special!)

I really want to please – and am very curious about the world. You see the way I became a furkid was quite unusual. I was wandering around and found this yard that sheltered me so I kind of crawled up quietly under the steps and was safe. The lady who lived in the house found me there, under the steps, and decided to feed me. That felt pretty good to me, as I had been scavenging for food for ‘a while.’ She had two female dogs in her house so she wouldn’t let me inside, but said I could stay outside and she would feed me. And so she did for about two weeks. Then she got ready to move to a place called “Northern California” so I couldn’t stay under her steps any longer. And that’s when my luck changed again, and I became a FurKid!

So life is a lot better now! I know I am safe and will always have food to eat, a bed to crawl into, and people to care for me. Sometimes I forget and try to bury my meal so I can have it later, but Mom and Adam are working hard to help me realize that those days are gone. Because I am so happy soaking up all the love that anyone has to give me, I can probably be what my BFK Aunties call “an only” and a home with a nice kitty would be even better.

If I sound like the right companion for you, please complete our application and ask for Jeffrey I’ll be waiting to become your most loyal friend in the whole world.

Tail wag and gentle snuggles,
Joyful and Jubilant Jeffrey
