Bobby Boy is an affectionate 6-year-old, 15 pound Terrier/Chihuahua mix. He's a lovey-dovey boy who will really fall head over heels for his person. With all of the recent changes in his life, Bobby Boy can sometimes be shy and unsure with new people and situations. He has done extremely well at the doggie daycare where he is being fostered, however, quickly bonding with the staff, and being handled by everyone. Bobby Boy has a moderate energy level and really enjoys the outdoors. If you're looking for a trail buddy who can also relax at home with you, Bobby could be just perfect. He is good on the leash, especially if you let him take breaks so he can use his nose to take in all the good smells. He likes to play and socialize in playgroup where there are many dogs. Bobby Boy is often cautious when he meets a new dog, and he prefers to play with dogs his own size. He can be a little intimidated by bigger dogs, though he might be fine with a big dog in his future family if the dog is mellow. Bobby Boy thinks cats are pretty fun to chase and would do better in a home without one. Bobby Boy is house trained, and he is an easy-going guy with a heart of gold once he gets settled in somewhere. He's a little nervous when he goes for a car ride, but settles down - we think he just needs to go more happy places so he knows car rides are fun! Bobby Boy has a funny little 'cauliflower ear' which adds to his character and doesn't cause him any discomfort. He will be the perfect little companion for some special person who is sensitive to his feelings! Bobby Boy came to us from Monterey County Animal Services.
