Randi's Story...
I’m Randi, an outgoing and playful girl who’s ready to find a forever home. My all-black fur is shiny and ever so soft. I’m one of eight siblings but the last of my litter still looking for my forever home – it’s true what they say that they save the best for last! I’m a snuggler extraordinaire who is often found cuddled up with the adult cats in my foster home or with my foster mommy. My foster mommy and I love to play games all day. Favorites including popping bubbles (they’re filled with catnip!), the laser light red dot, and a fun game my foster mom made up where she’ll put a bag on the kitchen floor, I jump on top, and she pulls me around like I’m on an amusement park ride! When playing on my own, my favorite is my little rabbit fur toy – I carry it around with me everywhere! I’m an outgoing girl who loves other cats and children. I’ve even met dogs before – a big 90-pound Bernese Mountain Dog. I wasn’t scared of that dog. I did give her a little swat to let her know who’s boss, but I bet I’d get along with a dog who respects that cats are members of the family, too. While dogs run to greet you when you call their name, I respond to my name with a cute kitty purr that almost sounds like “hmmmmmm.” Ready for a loving, outgoing, super-sweet feline to join your family? Life will be dandy when you adopt me, Randi!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Randi, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
