Raja's Story...
I’m royal Raja, the prince of my litter of kittens (or at least I like to think so!). We all have names that start with the letter “R” – as does “Royalty”, don’t you know. My royal throne is foster mommy’s lap, and I like to claim it quickly (it’s hard with 7 siblings to get all the lap time you deserve). Foster mommy doesn’t always refer to me as her prince; sometimes she refers to me as “my little stalker”, because I will follow her around while she’s cleaning the house. I just know that she’s going to sit down soon so I can curl up in her lap for some pets. Now, I’m not the kind of prince who wants all the richest for myself. You’ll often find me sharing foster mommy’s lap with 2, 3, 4, or more of my siblings. Who wouldn’t want such a sweet prince to join their family?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raja, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
