Rowdy's Story...
My name may be Rowdy, but I could share that name with any of my 7 – yep, you read that right – 7 – siblings. See, when you are one of eight kittens, you quickly figure out that it’s all about play, play, play. Well, maybe not all. I’m also very attached to my foster mommy and love to meet new people. I was the first of my litter to curl up next to foster mommy at bedtime, and I’m the one who sleeps with her all night. When she’s working on her computer, I love to plant myself on her desk and help…or supervise….or nap….or try to catch something she calls a mouse – but it doesn’t look like a mouse to me! So, yes, while my name is Rowdy, and I can be just as rompy and rowdy and rambunctious as the next kitten, I can also relax and recline with the best of them, too.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rowdy, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
