MUST LOVE TO CUDDLE!
STARLA: Starla has earned an A+ for achievement. In 3 short walking sessions, she went from being shy and unsure to being happy, poised and confident on the leash. What a quick learner and intelligent pup she is! Calm and quiet by nature Starla is very attentive to her handler, as if making sure she''s doing exactly what that person wants. Starla is definitely worth getting to know, and will be a loving and affectionate addition to the right household. She''s become a favorite of all of us here at the shelter!

WHEN OUT FOR A WALK WITH A VOLUNTEER STARLA CAME INTO THEO THE OFFICE AND BEFORE WE KNEW IT HAD TWO YOUNG BOYS PETTING HER AND STARLA STAYED SWEET AND CALM AND WAGGED HER TAIL WITH APPROVAL. ALSO, THE VOLUNTEER AGREED THAT HER LEASH WALKING IS MUCH IMPROVED. HOWEVER, SHE WAS PERFEFT AT CUDDLING FROM THE FIRST WALK!

OUR SPECIAL GIRL SCOUT VOLUNTEER CONTRIBUTED THE FOLLOWING UPDATE WHEN SHE WALKED STARLA:
Starla- very sweet and lovable likes to be petted more than she likes to walk. My father and I chose her to walk because she didn''t bark when we were trying to pick a dog to take outside.

AGE: 3+YEARS

About Rogers Animal Services

About Our Shelter...

Since 2010, Rogers Animal Services has saved over 6000 animals by finding them new homes, returning them back home, or getting them into rescue. 70% of the animals that came into the Rogers Animal Shelter in 2012 left the shelter by going back home or by finding a new home. We are working hard to make 2013 an even better year for our four legged friends.

The mission of Rogers Animal Services is to provide for public health and safety by removing stray animals from the streets, monitoring bite incidents, ensuring city laws and ordinances are enforced, protecting animal welfare, and saving lives through pet adoptions at the Rogers Animal Shelter. This is accomplished by using a progressive method of animal control which is focused on education, enforcement, and reuniting lost pets with their owners. Rogers Animal Services is committed to serving both the two legged and for legged citizens of Rogers Arkansas.

We have a strong volunteer corps and we are always in need of good volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering call Rogers Animal Services or just stop by the Animal Shelter during business hours. We would love to meet you.

Our Adoption Process...

Rogers Animal Shelter places pet adoptions as our top priority. We work to temperament test each animal and to learn their personality. This enables us to provide you with the best match possible for your family. Our standard adoption fee is $61. The adoption fee includes the spay or neuter and microchip. Stop by the shelter or call for more details.

Do you love animals, but you are not ready to bring one home? You can still help an animal get adopted. Here’s how. You can do either a partial sponsorship or a total sponsorship which will reduce the cost of the adoption for the animal. Each sponsorship is tax deductible. Call us or stop by for details.
