Keisha's Story...
KEISHA is still available. She is around a year old and around 40 lbs. She does well with other dogs, but should be introduced to cats slowly. Stop by the shelter and bring home a new friend.

All animals will be spay or neutered before leaving the shelter. You can now pre-pay for an animal if they are not already fixed. Once they are spay/neutered, you will be able to take them home. Pre-payment must be done in person and in cash.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Keisha, a Flint Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Flint, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Flint.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flint already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flint breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flint paves the way for another one to be saved.
