Penny's Story...
It's hard to believe that this sweet beautiful girl has spent the first three years of her life in a shelter down south. We feel lucky that Penny was spared and the shelter kept her around since a puppy, but so sad that she has never known what having a home and family would be like at three years old. Now in foster, this girl could not be more lovely. She weighs 40 lbs so she is the perfect family-sized dog. Penny got to greet many families who came and went, but was never offered the chance to come home with them. We feel that any family who gets her is the lucky one. If you would like to offer Penny the home and love she has waited for, the FIRST thing to do is copy and paste this link to your web browser to fill out our online application, http://members.petfinder.com/~CT243/sampleform.html. Penny is up to date on shots, heart worm negative and spayed. Full vetting and transport up north is included in her $375 adoption fee. We cannot be certain what her true mix is.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a Westport Beagle/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Pointer for sale in Westport, or seeking a Beagle/Pointer dog from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Pointer breeders who help with Beagle/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
