Emerald's Story...
Hi my name is Emerald! When I was a tiny baby I lived outside under someones house, unfortunately because their cat didn't give birth to me I wasn't their problem. So when I got sick they continued to ignore me and my siblings, we progressively got worse and worse. Then one day the neighbor noticed us, she immediately contacted St francis asking for help. Unfortunately for my siblings they weren't as lucky as me and all lost one or both eyes. St francis was able to save my eyes but occasionally my right eye waters. Im a typical little love bug who craves attention all the time. I love to climb into my foster mamas lap and snuggle in while she pets me. I also enjoy playing with my siblings and toys. I hope that even though I am solid black someone will want me. I heard kitties my color are the last to be adopted. I hope to meet you soon! Love, Emerald

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emerald, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
