Charlie Jacobs's Story...
Thank You Lizzie Jacobs!
Due to the generosity of an amazing young supporter, Lizzie Jacobs, who wanted to do something meaningful in honor of her two rescue dogs, Joyful Rescues was able to save more precious lives! Lizzie tells us, 'I named this transport in honor of my two rescue dogs, Miles and Sadie. When I visited Joyful Rescues for the first time I saw a very special and unique type of rescue. Just to name a few reasons why Joyful is so special: the dogs have no deadline for when they need to be adopted, they receive top notch healthcare, food, love, and time outdoors to run and play (as opposed to being locked in a crate all day which is standard at many rescues and shelters). There is so much need for a place like Joyful Rescues and that is why I wanted to sponsor a transport.' ~ Lizzie Jacobs Thank you Lizzie! Miles and Sadie are very blessed to have a mommy who has so much compassion for homeless animals!
Charlie Jacobs was born about June 30, 2016 and may end up weighing in the 30-35 lb. range. This is a BIG maybe, please understand at 3 months old he weighed 4.2 lbs. The shelter guessed him as a Border Collie mix, but that seems too large a breed as the rule of thumb is that they will double their weight at 4 months. So, I google small fluffy black dogs which didn't help much except the Eskie may be about the right ultimate size except they are always white. So, here you have it. We have no clue on breed or ultimate size. Please, don't let the cuteness cause you to adopt one of these pups if you don't like surprises. Also, they are a shedding breed.. Whatever he is he is really cute and very out-going and sweet! What a wonderful little boy, so glad we saved him. Please understand that we have no prior knowledge of this dog and we will be learning as we go and so will you.
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $325.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.
