Nellie's Story...
Isn't she adorable! Nellie is a darling 9 month old Shepherd mix ready for a new leash on life! She and her siblings were brought to the shelter when their previous owner had too many animals to properly care for. Nellie is just a doll and loves getting attention, but will definitely need time to adjust from being away from her pack. She will need a loving family to help her feel confident and sure of her surroundings. Nellie has been very sweet with all the staff and her visitors, and should be fine with people of all ages. She is doing well with her potty-training but will need reminders and a regular routine. She is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Come and meet her today at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook! We are open daily from 12-6pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nellie, a Benbrook Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
