Hi I'm Broad! I love snuggling and getting petted. I lean into my person's touch and want nothing more than to be skin-on-skin touching my people all the time. I adore every person I meet and introduce myself by putting my head right under your hand to make it easy for you to pet me! I also love my crate. It's my safe space, and I get so excited to run into it at mealtimes and when I find a special prize I want to hoard. I have a great collection of toys in my crate. I have a very sweet, affectionate nature, with occasional bursts of pure puppy joy! I am a velcro-dog! I really just want to be with you. I'm also a pillow-sleeper. I always want to have a stuffed toy to lay my head on at night. Once my foster people took my stuffed toys out of my crate (they said something about me "running out of room" because I had so many), and I slept with my head on a hard chew-bone until they realized their mistake and gave me a stuffy back! I don't need a fenced-in yard, but I really like my foster family's yard! It's big enough that I can zoom and zoom, and I like to bring a toy outside with me and then zoom around with it!
I get along with every person I've met! I haven't met many kids yet, but my foster people think I'd do okay with respectful children. The more hands in the home, the more petting I'll get! I also like other dogs and would enjoy a home with other playful dogs. My foster siblings are two small terrier mixes (20 and 30 lbs), and I'm very respectful of them. I defer to my little foster brother, who rules the roost, and like to follow the lead of my foster sister.
I would rather not be away from you too much. I do okay in my kennel when my foster family is running errands or busy, but I really do want to be with you as much as possible. I need someone who will be patient with me and teach me about living in a house. I'm still very much a puppy, so my foster family is teaching me not to counter-surf or chew up things that I find. I respond very well to direction, but I'm still young and sometimes I need reminders.
