"Are they going to like me? Oh.... I don't think they'll like me.... but do you think they might, Foster Momma?"

Hey all, this is Chaz. He's a terrier mix, around 2 yrs old, and is about as sweet as they come! Chaz is from a more rural shelter and hasn't always been treated in the way that you and I may think he deserves.  He is a very shy dog and startles easily.  It doesn't appear as though Chaz has been exposed to a whole lot of household activity in his life, so loud noises, quick movements and unfamiliar objects are terrifying to him.

Ideally, Chaz would LOVE to find a home with another (more confident) dog who would be willing to show him the ropes. He has done wonderfully with his foster siblings and absolutely adores playing outside in the sun. Chaz has gotten to the point he can go for a hike and would likely truly ADORE the opportunity to hike with his people one day (once he gains some more confidence and social skills).  His foster Mom reports positive change every day and truly thinks that one day Chaz will make the best pet ever!  Contact her for more info - she'd LOVE to tell you more about Chaz and his suitability for your home!

All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
